Had to quit because of other time commitments (and too many other horses that needed my attention). In the vet checks I heard the same stuff - - - these horses are to heavy, thick, etc. - - - won't cool down fast enough. Funny thing - AFTER the rides they were amazed at how well my fjord did and how fast pulse, resp. returned to normal. I thought Competitive Trail/Endurance was a blast! Hope to get back to it someday when I have more time. The competitors were great and so helpful.
