I would tend to agree with both of you about the arabs, for the most part.  I 
started my life with horses with an arab.  Joined the Arab horse club and 
quickly left.  It was nothing but one-upmanship "my horse is better than 
yours, nyah nyah nyah".  Horses are about all kinds of things, but NOT 
status!  

BUT..... I have two friends who showed this last week at the nationals.  If 
you looked at the trail class, and say Legacy there (a neat grey half arab) 
you would have seen a wonderful, down to earth owner who was just blown away 
and in tears, because her first time in the Nationals, she came away in the 
Top 10.  Her very first time out against all "The" trainers and high gloss 
horses!  A more real, wonderful person would be hard to find.  So, my hats 
are off to the great arab owners who love their horses the way we love our 
fjords.  They ARE there, just not as shiny as the show-offs <g>.
