I put fjords in the title. Whew .. I guess once one gets started on dogs, it's endless. I'm waiting for the 35 other breeds to show up as favoured friends of fjord fanatics. (note alliteration). I would love to hear about the mastiff .. temperment, etc. vs Rottis .. and re the Anatolian, the only story I know is a rather unfortunate one where a local family lost a two year old child to one, their own pet, who savaged it out of the blue. But of course, it may have been horribly brought up, overly dominant/jealous and/or badly bred? If I can have one more general Aussie question (when I look for another, perhaps I'll find it on the list?) .. how many of you out there have dogs with thyroid deficiency? My vet says it's a breed thing and Rufus is on serious medication .. as well as whole gamut of homeopathic stuff to counteract the negatives. But I'm not sure how well it's working .. been two years, weight is controlled, but he's sometimes still very lethargic (unless there's a squirrel/chipmunk around or I'm offering the horse something to eat).
