My apologies in advance .. but I thought there must be almost as many dog
lovers on the list, as horsey people (forgive the phrase) .. And Rufus, my
Australian shepherd, said I should send it because much of it applies to
horses too.. So here goes (it's short) ...

Never pass up the opportunity to go for a joy ride.
When loved ones come home, always run to greet them.
When it's in your best interest, practice obedience.
Let others know when they've invaded your territory.
Take naps often and stretch before rising.
Eat with gusto and enthusiasm.
Be loyal.
Run, romp and play daily.
Never pretend to be something that you're not.
If what you want lies buried, dig until you find it.
When someone is having a bad day, sit close by and nuzzle them gently.
Avoid biting when a growl will do.
Thrive on attention and let people touch you.
On hot days, drink lots of water and lie under a shady tree.
When you're happy, dance around and wag your whole body.
No matter how often you're scolded, don't buy into the guilt thing and pout
.. run right back and make friends.
Delight in the simple joy of a long walk.

That's it .. I promise to restrain myself from sending more in future!
