At the time of the accident with my mare I did wonder if she had gotten a whiff of something that frightened her - we have bears here and wolves are making a comeback besides the cougar that was sighted last summer. Prior to the accident she had been driving just fine for about 30 minutes. We have board-rail fencing and she has kicked out several rails when in the pasture. We wondered at the time if it was her reaction to an animal passing that she didn't like. Several times I've seen her in pasture standing like a statue with her nose in the wind. Its a beautiful sight which makes me wonder what is going through her mind. Susan-Longtheway Farm
