Oh Oh Betsy re your 78 year old neighbor still driving competition! I feel
guilty. I will be 76 in August. Started with horses when I was five (rode
behind the saddle on old George while my brother aged seven "steered") and
even took lessons in college. Any chance I could get I was on horses or at
dude ranches. My father was a cavalry officer and taught us some terrifying
ways of riding up and down hills! Charge!!!!

Rode in Europe in the forties then came the marriage and then the career and
retirement at fifty when I bought my first horse! Dressage and breeding for
my dressage mounts etc. Last horse is Sis a lovely Holsteiner who
languishes in the pasture and last last is Gunnar. They get smaller as you
get older it seems.
