I was told they were poisonous but horses rarely ate them unless overly hungry. I did not have fjords then! But after adding two more horses the fern disappeared. I always thought one of the horses had eaten them as there were none tucked in with other bushy growth. Maybe it was their feet but I wonder. Jean
