Well, it looks like maybe there was nothing anyone could have done.  We
autopsied her.  Turns out her colon was displaced, just past stomach.  Vet
says she died of peritonitis.  Since we only noticed real distress about
3:00 yesterday, probably not tubing her at 6:00 pm  (when she was still
eating - and passed some manure) was not a "fatal error."  According to the
vet, her fate was probably sealed before we even saw any signs of sickness
(and we were seeing her several times a day).  

So....though the vet might have been a better "tuber, looks like it was just
one of those things.  Now we can get on with our vacation.  AFter walking
her all night, I need some rest!

Thank you all for the support.  Pretty sad.
