Hi Everyone, we are all still fine, (cough cough) here in the Bitterroot
Valley, the fire is about 20 miles from us, on the opposite side of the
valley. The smoke is down right awful, the visibility at times is less than
a 1/4 mile, Cant even see the barn and the pastures
I'm gonna call some fellow Fjord owners in Victor tomorrow (Carol and Dan
Tripp) the fire is closing in on that area, I think they are low enough in
the valley, but I imagine the embers could be a potential threat

I'm just not sure at what point the smoke is dangerous to my 4 bred mares?
I'm gonna head out for a week or so and go visit friends in Western
Washington, my old home town area. but will keep hubby here to help hold the
fort down

Our daughter Mandy is quite disappointed, they canceled 4H horse camp for
next week and we got word today that the Ravalli County Fair that was due to
start in about two weeks, Is officially canceled for now
They are using the fair grounds to house evacuated animals
Mandy's 4H group is seeking hay and monetary donations to help the animals,
as all the owners lost their barns and hay piles due to fire. Thank God most
of the homes, although not all, have not burned

No fear though, I'm sure Libby will still be here in September, and the smoke
isn't even bad up that way, we are about 4 1/2 hours from there

Take care, II'll keep up on the post from my sisters computer, we are
heading out of town Sunday
