gaiil, i don't understand this comment. hopefully, your trainer  only means they
can't do high level dressage competition (like most horses), but all horses are
dressage prospects. after all, dressage in its most perfect form (imo) is a
training method to develop your horses greatest mental and physical potential.
basic training using dressage methods will prepare your horse well for any
future equine discipline.

i really don't understand the reference to *stepping high* - this makes no sense
to me in dressage training philosophy or performance.
