Ingrid, a very good friend of mine who moved her fjord to So. East Texas had
to deal with this hideous problem. It was very painful for the horse, and
tedious to cure.I can get her email address to you if you want to discuss it
w/ her privatly.
On the same note re. White Line disease, a filly of mine was given a
pre-purchase vet check last year, (by a newly grduated vet), and was failed
due to the vet thinking there was white line disease in her feet. Then, 2
other vets took a look at her and asked if she was on irrigated pasture,
which she was, and that was the end of the white line disease (mis)
diagnosis. The laminae on her feet were a little swollen, but no cracking
or pain or other typical symptoms for this disease.
