Just picked up my June EQUUS magazine to read an article about "Withers" by
DR. Deb Benett and in it she states:
 
"CONTRARY TO POPULAR THOUGHT, HORSES WITH SHORT, THICK NECKS CAN BE AS
FLEXIBLE AS THEIR LONGER-NECKED PEERS."

Something to tell your non-Fjord acquaintances when they comment on the
Fjords' short thick necks!
