Anneli,

I just wanted to respond briefly about the grey gene. I have seen several
grey foals coming from brown parents. Those brown parents must both be
carrying the grey gene? My brown dun junior stallion, Majson, by Rusten and
out of Majbrit, has 7 foals on the ground. Two of them are grey. His last
filly, born a week ago, I have not seen yet and the owners are wondering
about her color. Am expecting a video soon so that we can try to determine
what color she will be.

Anyway, the mares have all been brown duns also. I don't pretend to know
much about the genetics of color, just know I am waiting my turn. They greys
always seem to belong to someone else! Darn!
