Happy birthday to the list. Steve, you have done a wonderful job. I don't
post often, but I read every digest. I miss you all when there isn't one!
The internet is a wonderful thing that brings so many people with common
interests together. I feel like I know many of you and your horses. I cry
when someone loses a horse and feel joy when someone gets a new one. What a
wonderful extended community we have here :-)
Its fun to think back to when I first joined the list (at the beginning) - I
had one older mare - Dora - who I was still boarding. No barn at home yet.
We are now planning our THIRD barn expansion! And will be taking delivery of
our 5th mare/filly sometime this April (A red-dun Flotren daughter). I'm
pretty sure my husband mustn't be able to count... We'll have 6 horses on
the property as we still have last year's Felix colt. I think if Carm had
known how addictive these Fjords are he never would have agreed to the first
one ;-) The funny thing is the wonderful Fjords have changed him from a NON
horse person. He now comes out to the barn every night and helps with the
chores - INCLUDING MUCKING OUT! Maybe the Fjords aren't horses at all, but
instead magical creatures who weave a spell over anyone involved with them
;-)
Take care,
Laura from
