We just got back from the Greater Northwest Equine Expo in Albany, OR. What a great time we had. We had 6 Fjords there being ridden English (Pam Adler with Erixon) and Western (Linda Bezdek & Jean Frost with Langbein & Solveig), driven to a cart (Dad & I with Emily) and pulling logs (Catherine & Rune Lassesen with Grabben) and even our 9 month old filly, Olga being led behind the cart. In two of our demos we were also able to let the filly loose to have a good run and buck session while I drove "Mom" around in the cart. The crowds just loved it!! I also had a special treat when Emily & I got to have Aussie trainer Clinton Anderson ride in for the grand entry of the extravaganza in our cart. (He even called me "Mate" <G>) Our booth and stalls won second place for decorations this year, and we always had a good crowd hanging around looking at and visiting with the fjords. They sure seemed to be the favorite of the crowds this year. Our Oregon Fjord group already has plans in the works for next year's event!
