Hoof nippers for wimps

Why, Oh Why is there not some easily controllable thing that will grind down
hooves.  Some sort of jig you fit over the hoof (for safety and accuracy)
that sands them off perfectly level...or adjusts the level perfectly, both
side to side and front to back? My farrier tells me there is nothing but
hoof knives and nippers...but there needs to be something like this!
