This message is from: "Jennifer Kroll" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Yep, thats me. The one with the .5 Fjord horse. ;-) Yes, there are Fjord mares on farms up there. Fjord mares that are not being bred to Fjord stallions. Why? I really couldnt tell you. Its a shame they aren't. Or perhaps they are and those foals are not in need, and do not go through FoalQuest like the half Fjords. As far as the quality of life those mares have... There is no doubt in my mind that they are fat, healthy, and loved. I have photos of my colt and his dam out in the pastures. I also know that FoalQuest will not work with any farm that isn't up to the very highest standards. These folks really do care. Otherwise they wouldnt approach the group to help place their foals. I don't want to start a huge debate of PMU. Im not a supporter of it. But I do believe everyone has the right to their own opinions, and ways of life. I am glad though that my colt was able to be saved from an uncertain future and that he will live out his life with me.
So anyway.. with that out of the way. :) My name is Jennifer. I live in SE Lower Michigan, and I am 23. I am married to my highschool sweetie, and have 3 children. Katei age 4.5yrs, Andy age 2.75 years, and Emily age 10 mos. Yes I am busy. :) My colt's name is Lucky Son of a Dun. He is by a Paint stallion, out of a Fjord Mare. He is brown dun, but much darker than the normal brown dun Fjord(he is lacking the wild bay base color and pangre'). He has a wild blaze, 3 socks, and a white chin. Very cute. He shows alot of Fjord influence in his face and ears. He is my first horse. He was born April 9th, 2001(shares a birthday with my son!). Photos and a journal of our time together is at: http://www.krollmark.com/~twarab/lucky.htm Hmm... I am a stay at home mom, and do art work in the little spare time I manage to find. :) Mostly sculpture and drawing, but also some 3 dimensional painting. I breed Silkie Chickens, and Cochin Bantams. I have a golden retriever mix named Leafy(Daughter named her), a long haired Cavy named Grady, a Cockatiel named Lacey, and 2 Harlequin Rabbits(Poet & Lambert). Glad to meet you all. Thanks for having me. Jen Kroll
