we gelded two app/arab colts when they were app 8 months old - we just turned them out when finished - it was the fall of year when flies and other insects are at a minimum - ours didn't do much running the first few days because, i suppose, of the discomfort of being gelded i have been told by several people, vets included, that gelding at an early age makes the gelding grow taller and somewhat more feminine - i would be interested if anyone else out there has heard this or has had first hand experience leaves are turning in virginia mary harvey
