I am glad to hear your son is okay. Everyone here is praying for safety and for all people and their families. We didnt have classes today- we just sat there quietly and watched the news. This is the worst tragedy I've ever seen in my 13 years.

It is so quiet here...even for out in the country. A
gorgeous sunny day...not a car down the road, or a plane
overhead. Even the animals seem subdued...

I was on the phone with my son, who lives in New York City,
checking to to see if he and his family were safe. He was on
his 6th floor roof about 30 blocks from the World Trade
Center, nearly speechless. He had seen the second plane
hit... He became silent. Then he said "Oh, ****, Oh, ***, O
my
God, the Trade Center Tower is collapsing. Oh my god, so
many people...It's just gone..." Then we could not speak.

They (my son and family) are safe, for now, but checking on
Muslim neighbors and a Muslim chapel next door. They are
concerned for their neighbors. I have been lucky to get
through to them on the phone twice.

We are praying...our hearts go out to all those innocent
people, on planes, in buildings...and the rescuers and all
the families....

We have many friends and relatives in NYC and Washington DC.
I hope all our fjord friends are safe, wherever you may be.

Yes, I went out and hugged my horses...as strange as it
seems, they are a comfort...they do not know of the evil,
foolishness, and stupidity of homo sapiens.
All they want is food...preferably grass.
