Hi all,
The Metamora CDE was a wonderful event and blessed with perfect weather.
There were 50 entries total in Training and Prelim. Penny Freeman (Stucky)
came from Southern Pines to compete with her mare Rosie, and while they did
not do as well as she had hoped, we were thrilled to have a Fjord to watch!
Penny told me in advance that Rosie did not like water...and we had plenty
of it, not just at the water hazard, due to all the recent onging rain. But
they did a fine job of going through the water...just not quite fast enough
against many more experienced horses and ponies here...but they were safe,
looked great and had fun!

It was a pleasure to meet and visit with Penny. There were three (3!)
Michigan Fjord owners sitting together to watch! Carol Everhardt (from the
list) and Lisa Kishman (who may be joining soon) and I enjoyed ourselves
tremendously chatting about Fjords in person while watching at a hazard. A
real treat to have other fjord folks to watch and visit with. Since we 3 are
all new to driving Fjords, we hope to have more Fjord representation at some
shows here in the not too distant future...it may take a year, but we can
support each other at least!
I did get pictures of Penny and Rosie at the water hazard and will let you
all know if/when I get them up on website. It was great fun and inspiring to
watch!
