I assume that's "hat <comma> apron".... If the class is run by ADS (American Driving Society) rules, you'll also need to wear gloves. There are special driving gloves, but ones meant for English riding are OK. (In a pinch, ordinary leather work gloves will pass---no gloves can mean elimination!) Tradition says the hand-part of the rein is brown leather, so the gloves should be, too; modernists with synthetic black reins are divided as to whether gloves ought to be brown or black. And your driving whip must be carried in your hand (not just left standing in the cart's whip holder) during the class. > AND A SENSE OF HUMOR! Always important at a show!
