This message is from: "Arthur Rivoire" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Hello from Carol Rivoire at Beaver Dam Farm in Nova Scotia -
It's that time of year again when we're busy planning for our Spring and Summer seasons. This involves booking student/guests for our Nova Scotia Beginner Driving/Riding Vacations --- taking applications for our Intern Program --- and, deciding which consignment horses we can accept. Our Beginner Riding/Driving Vacations are fairly well filled considering the uncertainty of the world situation. A few weeks are completely booked. The Charming Cottage is booked all but two weeks of the summer. It's still available August 2 - 9 and August 9 - 16 for anyone interested. We're very excited about this year's Interns from Europe, particularly since one really great girl from Germany, Katharina, will be returning, and this year bringing her younger sister, Johanna. Also signed on from Germany is Lena W. She's a Fjord owner and competitor under saddle, and also a certified driver. Lena applied to come to us two years ago, so after all that correspondence, we feel we know her already. >From Holland, we'll have two wonderful girls -- Maartje and Conny, ages 21 and 23. Maartje is very experienced and has competed in dressage and jumping at a high level. --- Conny has had years of experience training horses under saddle, and has spent a great deal of time working with problem horses - both for private owners, and for some of the big stables in Holland. Of course, our long-time Stable Manager, Jaimie Benoit, will be overseeing all the activity, and she'll be aided by two or three other local girls who've worked very successfully for us in the past. --- Hopefully, everybody's favorite, Kelly, will be back. So, you see by all this that we'll have a very complete staff to train and condition all the horses we'll have at BDF this summer. -- The horses will be ridden, driven, and get a lot of mileage on the trails and beach. -- Our focus here at BDF is on dressage! We consider dressage to be the foundation of all training, and always keep that in mind when training horses of all age from the youngest to the older horses - Be it work in hand, riding, or driving. So, if you have a nice Fjordhorse you need to sell, we can do a good job for you. We'll put hours of daily training into your horse. He'll look great, perform well, and in that condition, he'll be a desirable horse to the right person. We have the staff and the facility to do a good job for you. We'll advertise your horse extensively, and find him the right home at the right price. We are NOT interested in horses with any sort of serious or long-standing problems. Sometimes such problems are not fixable under any circumstances, and frankly, even if the problems can be fixed, it usually would take such a long time that the owner would never recoup his investment. However, if you have a good horse without problems, then we can do a good job for you. We have customers all over the country, and many of them are coming to Beaver Dam Farm this summer for our Nova Scotia Beginner Driving/Riding Vacations -- Many of our guests come to us with the good idea of spending a week on the farm and getting to know the sale horses. Please call to discuss details. Thank you, Carol Rivoire Please call to discuss your horse.
