This message is from: "Jean Gayle" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> My horses get "rain rot" every winter because they get so wet and muddy you can not keep them groomed. I begin as the weather turns warmer to comb and rub the areas as much as the horse will allow until eventually shedding and combing cure the problem. Never had a change in hair color . Sometimes heat is felt in the area and the horse may be quite sensitive so just letting shedding take care of the rot seems to work just fine. Jean
