Hi Kim- I have an 18 year old Fjord mare out with my 11 & 5 year old Fjord geldings. My mare pretty much stays in her own area of the pasture, but often stands with the boys. Surprisingly, my 11 year old gelding runs the "herd". She will move when he says to move. However, she bosses the 5 year old gelding around. However, mostly all is well in my pasture.
