This message is from: [EMAIL PROTECTED] I am responding to Fred Pack's post about his experience at Libby. Not having attended the show, I can say nothing about the facts or comment on the actions that occurred.
However, it is important to note that NFHR does have rules for ground juries for evaluations and show committees for breed shows. The rules don't dictate how a ground jury or show committee resolves disputes, appropriately leaving great latitude in that area, but it does call for a fair process. It's been my experience with organizing shows and evaluations, that the matter of a dispute or protest may not considered in advance by the organizers. Often there isn't a published dispute process. It is important for everyone participating in a show or evaluation to know the dispute process available and have a ground jury/show committee prepared to respond to disputes immediately. Having a fair process in which all sides can be heard is critical to the success of a show or an evaluation. I certainly hope that the NFHR will have a published dispute process for exhibitors in place for the 25th show and evaluation. Margaret A.
