Yes, my mare slobbers allot too. The vet was completely disgusted once when he was here and trying to check her teeth, couldn't see anything but spit! I'm pretty sure that with her it's a pavlovian thing. She slobbers when she's led into the barn since she might get fed, she slobbers when being ridden because she knows she gets an apple afterwards. She's much worse in the winter when there is no graze and she gets hungrier, starts drooling on sight of me in the morning. The first few mouthfuls of hay squelch because there is so much drool. She's one of those very, very, very easy keepers and is just hungry all the time. I feed our Fjord gelding half again as much hay as Osa, and our paint and appaloosa double what she gets, poor girl, I'd drool too.
