Hi All,

I just thought you might be interested to know that the Kentucky Horse Park
considers Fjords as Draft Horses. They are kept in the Draft Barn there.

Also, they remind me a bit of the Lipizzans I used to have. They are about
the same size and are similarly robust. Lipizzans also have to be convinced
that what you are asking them to do is in their best interest. Lipizzans are
forward moving horses like Quarter Horses. Granted Lipizzans excel in
dressage, but they are also used for other things including jumping and
endurance riding. They both are Northern breeds and don't fare especially
well in the heat. Lipizzans are technically warmbloods, but are smaller than
people realize. People often forget to include them among other warmbloods
for that reason.

Best,

Vanessa
