Again thank you all for the concern and the condolences, I do appreciate hearing from you all and it means a lot. My concentration is on getting the colt well. I guess it is always good to focus on the future rather than the past. :-) With each day there are new struggles and slow improvement. OSU students and doctors are doing their best and are falling in love with "their Fjord patient". Fjords will do that! :-) We will have the following fund raisers to help in covering the OSU Vet Bill. Feb 25, 2007 at Canyonville Feed and Ranch Supply (Thank you Nancy & Gordon) All you can eat Spaghetti Feed. Call 541-839-4600 (the store) to purchase advance tickets if you live in our area or want to come to the local Casino and stay over night and participate in the dinner. March 25, 2007 we will pull the winning ticket for the 50/50 raffle. Tickets are on sale now for $1.00 each. The winner gets 50% of what we collect. Right now after only 1 day of selling the jackpot is $30.00. April 15, 2007 - the 1st ever Days Creek Duck Race. Ducks are on sale now for $10.00 each. The plastic ducks will start at the Two Bridges Ranch and will end on our farm. They will travel about a mile on Days Creek. This is one of the creeks that are on our property. The ducks will be caught at the finish line and the owners of the ducks will be able to select prizes. The prizes are being collected now and we will supply as many winners as we have prizes. Here is the list of prizes, so far. Montana Silver Belt Buckle donated by Canyonville Feed and Ranch Supply, One night stay at Hestehaven's B&B for 2 persons, Iron works done by Cody Davis, FFA student, Longaberger basket donated by myself as a Longaberger Consultant. In May, we will have an Equine Poker Ride. The date will be announced later. We are also considering a Motorcycle Poker Ride but we will wait and see. We appreciate the support that each and every one of you has given us in this time where friends are needed. We hope that the above fundraisers will spark some interest with you or your family.
