I am so pleased to have made a whirlwind trip from the Seattle area to Hestehaven in Day's Creek, Oregon and found Overmann for my student! Catherine is a delightful host, excellent horsewoman, and great human, as you all probably already know! What fun to have Amy (hi Amy!! thank you for all your help and fun!!) hop on the two geldings I was looking at so I could take photos and videos and then I got to have the fun times, riding both Mid Hans and Overmann! If you or someone you know is looking for a big Fjord with a matching big heart and kind, strong personality, Mid Hans is your man! What a mover! I wish he lived next door and I could play with him under saddle more! It's a good thing my 6' tall daughter wasn't along, or Mid Hans would have been in the hatchback of our little Beetle car driving north on I-5 yesterday! Wow!

Overmann is a delight! He's a very nice 13.3, which is perfect for Alan, his new owner, who is small. I felt like a grasshopper on him with my legs bent up to keep my legs on riding english! He is a dream - light in the mouth and off the seat, really willing, and ever so handsome! He will be an excellent arena and trail horse for Alan, and I couldn't be more pleased for both of them. Ok, pleased for me too, as I get to care for the pony and teach the human!

Fjords are simply a blast, and this group is terrific - after posting here that I was looking for a nice horse for a student I got a few phone calls and emails, one leading me to Catherine's fellows.
Thank you!!
Emily

P.S. My mare, Lite Jenta (aka Biscuit) also makes fur angels, and it is hilarious! I've been wearing my rain gear when I groom her for fear of looking like I'm wearing a Fjord costume!!! ;-)
