For me it's all about information. In the past 20 years we have made many trips to Libby and for the most part enjoyed the experience. Unfortunately, we were never told of the problem with the mine & consequently it gave us no choices nor provided the opportunity to gather info and make an informed decision about attending or not. I did not choose the timing regarding the airing of the PBS program but thought it prudent for new members to be informed and give them the opportunity to ask questions and make an informed decision.(unlike us) Ten years ago my sister lost her husband due to asbestosis. A nasty way to die. He was a bricklayer who worked on building schools that used asbestos for insulation. He never handled the stuff nor was directly involved with it. Just worked on the site. My sister had children still at home and it was difficult to see him leave a growing family like that. I suppose this experience makes me more vigilant than most people. People are entitled to make informed decisions where possible. For those who chose to read into my post more than what was intended I say, 'that's YOUR problem'. Read the post again.....I have no control over what people want to read into it. It does make me wonder, 'why so defensive?' I too am sick of the bickering, speculating and backbiting and I must say that the show at Moses Lake was refreshing and rejuvenating with none of the crap that the list seems to be generating.
