I'm delighted to report that , although all of our Fjords have been bitted in
broken mouth snaffles, we ride them regularly in Parelli natural hackamores.
Why mess with lovely mouths on a daily basis. Bitting is reserved for those
times when an extra degree of communication is needed. The hardest part of
learning to ride this way was for me, as I had ridden on contact all my life.
