Our black walnuts fall near a road.  The crows pick them up, sit on the
power line and drop them...trying to get them to crack.  What actually
happens is they land on the road, people drive over them, and the crows eat
them.  I enjoy aiming for them (near the side of the road) and watching the
crows flock down in my rear view mirror to get them.

Much better sport than taking them to the landfill.
