Jean you are my inspiration! "quit riding at 76"! Way to go! I have just started riding at age 69 and sometimes wonder WHAT ON EARTH WAS I THINKING! My mare has been in training since October and I started riding her last month - at the trainers - in the arena. We go slow and careful. Riding is much more difficult now than when I was a kid, that's for sure. My goal is to be able to do a controlled sitting trot for one whole circle around the arena. Balance and flexibility aren't what they used to be. Hang in there!
