This message is from: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Hi everyone,
I rarely post here, but do have 2 young fjords and now have some questions... I am going to start ground driving my "baby" (he'll be 3 in May) and an older gelding that will be 6 soon. He drives as well . I mainly ride the older guy. I recently found out I am expecting, and while we are thrilled (pony kid #3 for us) I am less than thrilled that my summer riding will be curtailed! Especially since this winter has been horrible and I got zero riding done. Belive me the "boys" where so happy to have the winter off to play in the snow! So I have decided that a great way for me to work out and have my boys work out as well is to ground drive them. I have driving lines and my regular riding bridle and a training surcingle, Is this an appropriate set-up or do I need a harness (collar?) . I do ground drive the older guy in his regular tack but it's mainly in the arena, I'm thinking on doing some serious ground driving on trails, through fields etc, and don't want to ruin my good tack. I swear I'm not a newbie, just newish to this world of Fjords and all the possibilities they hold. Any help or info is greatly appreciated. Any one live near Chicago Il (south) and want some riding time? My guys gonna need it! reply here or email [EMAIL PROTECTED] thanks!
