Remmy Bron, a resident of the Netherlands, is scheduled to judge the 25th Anniversary Norwegian Fjord Horse Show, presented by the Northeast Fjord Horse Association, at the Berkshire Equestrian Center in Richmond, Mass. on the weekend of August 8-10, 2008. Remmy’s early riding instruction came from a German trainer and one from the Spanish Riding School of Vienna – her own style is a combination of their methods. Remmy has trained many Fjord horses and won the Dutch Fjord Championship with her mare, Wianda. She is currently competing with another mare in combined driving as an ambassador for KIKA, a fund-raising organization for children’s cancer research. Remmy is certified to judge all levels of dressage and driving. She is also a certified riding and driving instructor with over 34 years of experience. The American Fjord horse community is thrilled to have a judge of her stature for this important event. On Friday afternoon, August 8, the 25th Anniversary Breed Show will begin with trail classes, games, and a complementary cookout at the Berkshire Equestrian Center (BEC) in Richmond, Mass. The BEC rests on 27 acres, surrounded by some of the loveliest views in Berkshire County, Western Mass. BEC is a full-service equine facility with spacious paddocks, a 150 x 250 outdoor ring and an 80 x 200 indoor arena, both with state-of-the-art footing. Adjacent to the BEC is the Inn at Richmond, a colonial-era country inn featuring modern amenities combined with historic ambiance. For photos and more details on the facility, please check the websites at www.berkshireequestriancenter.com and www.innatrichmond.com. Ridden and in-hand classes will be held on Saturday, August 9th. The annual banquet is scheduled for Saturday night in nearby West Stockbridge at the popular Card Lake Inn. All draft and driven classes take place on Sunday.
