This is such a cute story that I have to tell it.

I have a young boy 7th grader that looks more like a 2nd or 3rd grader
very small. He showed up one day last year and went on and on about how much
he loved horses and wanted to know what work he could do for lessons. I get
this a lot, so it becomes hard to figure out a way to tell them that I have
enough help and not to spoil their enthusiasm. His mom came by one day and
purchase a set of lessons for him. He was so excited, that I don't think
that he stopped talking long enough for me to get even one word in. :0) He
proceeded to tell me all about his family and brothers and sisters and how he
was a foster child and that he finally got adopted and that his mother was on
some really bad drugs when she had him and that was why he was so small and
blind in one eye. He comes by on a regular basis wanting to help and
always brings some sort of treat and a very happy smile. He loves the Fjords
and
last week he wanted to know if I could bring one to his school, because he
was doing a report on them. Well today was his big day he called and left me
2 messages yesterday and 3 more before I even woke up this morning to remind
me. He also wanted to know if I could bring the music that I play when I
work her (Now I need to install a stereo system on the cart so we can play our
theme music)! So I go and hitch up Yolina and off we head to his school
which by horse, and carriage is about 15 min away. We pull in the driveway
and
of course every kid runs to the windows of their class waving. I wait a
couple of minutes and he comes out with his class. This is his presentation
and he is supposed to give it and explain about Fjords. In his excitement he
completely forgets what is supposed to say:0) So I ask the kids if they
have any questions. Well every hand went up! From how do I dye the mane
to
look like that to what do they eat!
I thought back to when I was his age and it would have been a dream
come true to have someone do what I just did. What a great day.

We then zipped home thur the woods. Much much nicer than the city streets.
