I've posted this cart to the list before, I'd paid 3000. for this show cart,
its meant for a show ring, about a 42, 43 inch pony. I have pictures. I'd
tried to sell it for 2000., to get a cart for a miniature but I've given up on
doing that. My small pony, who I'd gotten the cart for, has had founder
issues for a long time now. This past November he was showing signs of
something going on in his backend...I thought it was in his foot. I hauled
him to the local vet, who claimed that the farrier was taking too much hoof
wall and the pony was walking on his soles. I have had problems finding a
good farrier in this area for ponies with issues. Anyway, showed the vet his
back leg, he felt of his stifle and said he though he was just "tired" from
his front feet and resting more on his backend. Well, around Christmas, his
backend was bad and I knew it wasn't in his feet, it had to have been his
stifle. Hauled him to a really good clinic 2hrs. away, and he had a tear and
lesions in his collaterel ligament and something to do with "medial"menisal
desmitis? I have his paperwork. This was the first week in January, he
stayed with them so their farrier could do his feet per xrays, I think the
farrier was a bit too aggressive, he was really sore on his front feet.
Anyway, he's bee on and off since then, hauled him back there about 4 weeks
ago, they felt his back leg looked much better, but I told them he's been on
and off, just happened to be his good day : ) Anyway, I think adrenalin kicks
in and they don't show it so much when they are in strange places, he's that
way. But he's had a bad bought this week, started Monday, had to increase his
bute to 1 gram twice a day. We're hauling him to a clinic Friday the 13th,
yikes, that is a bit closer, but I'd used the vet several years ago and he did
a great job with one of my fjords...and I want a second opinion before I give
up on the guy. He is IR, he doesn't sweat in the summers, he's a metabolic
mess. ANYWAY, I have to sell his cart for medical bills for this guy. I'd
take 1500. for it if someone wanted it for arena shows, which I KNOW we've
been talking them down here lately. Anyone that wants to know more about it
can ask Tammy at Central Harness in Austin, Tx, I have her email
address...she'd had it on consignment for me, but through the winter, things
are slow to move and the economy being what it is. I'll be at the old
Brookshires parking lot with it tomorrow, Sunday, after lunch, in Canton,
Texas, if anyone is close, depending on the weather obviously. The shafts are
66inches, like I said its for a 42inch shetland type..its black, gold
pinstriping, I have pictures...
thanks...Debby in Tx
