Bluebird Lane Sparrow (Gjest X Cindy 1.premie) is for sale. Born in
1998, Sparrow was the first foal born on our farm, and was raised and
trained here at Bluebird Lane.
Sparrow was started under saddle as a four year old, and is well-trained
for dressage riding. She has quite a number of show-ring successes to
her credit, include winning the Mares Conformation Class at the 2003
Ontario Fjord Show as well as the Open Riding Champion and Dressage
Reserve Champion at that show. At the 2004 Finger Lakes Fjord Show,
where she was ridden by an 18 year old girl, Sparrow won both the Junior
Rider Championship and the Dressage Reserve Championship (right behind
her full brother Vili). At the 2004 Ontario Fjord Show, Sparrow was
Champion Mare under judge Bob van Bon, Chief Inspector of Fjords of the
Netherlands. Mr. van Bon also awarded Sparrow the Netherlands Fjord
Studbook Gold Medal for Best Mare at this show.
Sparrow's dam is the 1st premie Dutch imported mare Cindy (Ostar X
Louise). Her dam's other offspring include Highwatch Vili (scores of up
to 75% in open dressage, and recipient of the Netherlands Fjord Studbook
Gold Medal for Best Riding Horse), Bluebird Lane Jaeger (2009 Blue Earth
Versatility Award winner and High Point winner with owner Kristin Lee),
and Bluebird Lane Robin (winner of open ADT's and CDE's in California).
Sparrow was bought by her present owner 5 years ago, and since then was
evaluated in the NFHR system and received a Blue ribbon in conformation
and movement. In this time she has also produced two fillies. Sparrow
has returned "home" to be sold, and is presently having her training
brought back up to date. As it is still early days I don't have a
current video made of her but I wanted to get a heads-up out to the list
on the availability of this gorgeous mare. Contact me privately for
