I saw a nice bitting by a Natural guy using a thick lead rope the first few times. I think more of a concern is your own bitting technique. I think it's easy after all these years until I watched and tried to teach my hubby on our naughty nickie. Took I swear a year for them to work it out:) nickie loved the head raise, the hang dog technique, the clamp down.....etc ad nauseum.
