Kathy,

You might try Orange Sugar Free Metamucil or the cheaper version Equate from
Walmart. 1/4 th cup twice per day mixed dry in his food and provide plenty
of fresh water for drinking. The vet recommended this to us for sand
removal (we have very sandy soil and give to all our fjords for the 1st 7
days each month) and to one that sometimes has a messy butt. I can tell you
it works, they really love it, and he will have a messy orange mustache from
what sticks on his face. Watch out for unsolicited pony kisses. But since
it is sugar free it doesn't attract bugs either.

Glad he is doing well,

Hi all. Willi is doing very well! The hole in his hoof is all pink and
filling in. The bandage changes are getting easier, although I think it will
be quite some time before I can do it by myself.

Question: we are on SMZs, 12 twice a day. The Vet whose house Willi is
staying at says the surgeon put us on the "gold standard" of diarrea
prevention, Bio Sponge twice a day and Probios once a day. So far no
troubles. Willi does not like the Bio Sponge at all. Has anyone used a
similiar product that may be more palatable?

Thanks!
Kathy in Sc and Willi in NC, where fall is creeping in
