i find some odd thing the fjords will do naturally.  like climb stairs up to a
porch or deck, perfectly comfortable in their perch, walk patiently thru
drifts
up to their chest.

i would like to find a better fitting saddle
also.  what i have been using, as I
ride more, doesn't do the mare justice for
her comfort. We get by, really good
saddle pads.  try to be as upright and
balanced as possible.  i thought the Eli
Miller for a gaited horse was pretty
good, and it is thru the shoulders but not
in the back where it tends to
perch a bit while throwing my weight towards the
back.  If i let my weight go
to the back, the saddle digs.  talk about suck it
up, w. a pelvic tuck and
legs loose and the back soft and it is dressage all
over again.  while
sitting here thinking about it, if we both lost weight it
would help.  kiss.
