oh, mary, i also own one of those dappled fjords, who often times is mistaken for the rare black fjord. everything runs downhill right into their pasture, and ends up at the gate. the horses of course trample it even worse when they come to the gate. there are a couple of spots that are about calf deep (even muck boots are in danger), and i know that oz doesn't like walking in the really deep stuff. strange for a horse who doesn't mind sleeping in a manure pile. such loveable ponies. i don't think he will be totally clean until july.
