Bonnie, I agree w/ Jo, Myler bits are pretty size accomodating - my mares go very well in thier med port curbs, but I don't like their "independent" or multi-moving bits where the cheek and shanks each move separately. Too many confusing signals. My dear old broke-to-death in the bridle stallion Sven HATED that squiggly Myler bit (custom made driving bit). He just about sat down on me in protest. Guess I am old school, but the loose jaw (shank) is about it for me. As for a shanked snaffle, IMO, yuk. I would avoid this type of bit entirely.
