Passing along this courtesy listing--here is what I know: Two special horses looking for forever homes Once upon a time, there was a beautiful mare named Mariah whose luck had apparently run out. She was scheduled to be loaded on a trailer bound for a Canada slaughterhouse when a kind soul delivered her from that fate and brought her to North Carolina. She is clearly a beautiful cross with a great deal of Fjord horse in the mix, approximately 14hh and reportedly trained to ride and drive (unverified). She does tend to be near the top of the herd hierarchy. She delivered Moses, a beautiful colt whose appearance is much like a full Fjord, in March of 2012. He has been well handled, is halter broke and very curious and engaging. He was born with a slight cleft palate, which has not been repaired and will need to be evaluated in his new home. If you have space in your heart for either or both of these special horses, you can contact Sally Gray at 704-219-6012.
