I live in Laramie Wyoming and have seen TONS of Fjords in parades around
the area this year. There was a 6-in-hand team at Laramie Jubilee Days and
I counted four pairs of Fjords pulling wagons at Cheyenne Frontier Days --
does anyone know who has all these Fjords in the area? Now that Fiona is
coming back to stay with me, it would be fun to connect with other Fjord
owners close by. I took some pics of these horses as well, and they are on
my photo facebook page here:

Hi Lisa,

I was in Cheyenne during Frontier Days and also saw those Fjords with the long manes - made me grit my teeth. I, too, was wondering who owned them and why they did not give them proper haircuts especially since they were in the public eye. My first thought was concern for their crests breaking from the weight. IMHO, long manes and goat hair makes them look like schlumpadinkas and uncared for. The long mane might help during the winter, but it was extremely HOT that week. I was roasting.

Ah well, I have always been a NAZI when it comes to trimming my Fjords.
