Brian -

Thanks for bringing back the memories. Rich and I and 4 other friends made
the trek from Michigan to Libby in 1994 which was the same year David
McWethy arrived after crossing the country with his fjords. Our fondest
memories are of Gayle and Anne doing their demonstration with Dusty and Wez.
It was absolutely awesome. The picture is still hanging in our living room
of Rich's 1st place in the team pull with Windy Poplar Woody (now 27 years
old and a therapeutic riding horse in North Carolina) and Anvil's Birger
(now 24 years old). I just came in from driving him today as he is still
the "colt trainer". Just like Dusty the energizer bunny, no one has really
told him he is aging yet. It was an awesome trip to Libby taking 3 days
each way and great to meet the fjord owners of the West. I am very thankful
there are those that keep the show going. Many good memories for us.

Visitors from afar came through Libby like John Hegdal, Arne Presthus,
and David Clove from Norway. Eike and Susie Schon-Pederson from Germany. I
remember Dave McWethy arriving with his three abreast from travelling across
America. We hosted the Hotovy's, Davis's, Giggarie's , Pederson's and of
course Beth and Sandy from Colorado. Gayle Ware was always there with her
infamous Dusty!!
