For some who are new to the list, at the bottom of every letter there is a link to the archives.. and you can click on that and locate your subject matter.. this crossbreed topic has been addressed many times, ground well covered (scorched earth? hee hee) I have upgraded my perspective in one regard, Fjord mules, it seems to mean so much to so many, and whereas there wouldn't be any ensuing offspring, I suppose there could be no harm in it.. Unless it left the crossbreeding door ajar for other breeding idiosyncrasies. I'm sure we could all mention other horse breeds that have gone too far afield in their breed's parimeter through special allownaces. Protecting the market value of the breed through policy/control oversight is the very best possible measure for guarding their worth against devaluation; which subsequently influences their individual placement through attracting a more selective and savvy clientele.
