In the macromedia accessibility best practices pdf it says the following: (page 22)

This is the functionality that I'm trying to avoid and also harness so that when you navigate to a new screen, the page will refresh and the screen reader will start from the top again, enabling me to easily orientate someone using a screen reader. Whilst this doesn't seem to the be the expected functionality in JAWS, has anyone experienced this using any other screen readers? I'm not sure which screen reader macromedia is referring to but it sounds like a screen reader that would react a lot differently than the versions of JAWS i'm using, and I'd like to do some testing with it.

thanks,

adam
