There are a lot of different approaches you could take to get this effect, not necessarily programmatic. You could do this using the timeline (make a graphic for every word), or this could have been made with a 3rd party software specially designed for text effects (such as Swish: www.swishzone.com).
An overall programmatic approach would be: 1) dynamically create every word in the quote, storing the movieclip references in an array. 2) Assign each word clip a starting point, an end point, and an amount of rotation. 3) Create a function (moveWord) that moves a word clip from its start point to its end point, rotating as it goes. 4) Create a function that cycles through the array of word clips and calls moveWord for each word clip. Use setInterval here to create an appropriate amount of delay between moveWord calls. I'm not looking for source code (although that would be nice), but more the overall approach. I assume the words that make the review are stored in an array. How about the positioning? Is that stored in an array as well? Thanks for any help. _______________________________________________ Flashcoders mailing list [email protected] http://chattyfig.figleaf.com/mailman/listinfo/flashcoders _______________________________________________ Flashcoders mailing list [email protected] http://chattyfig.figleaf.com/mailman/listinfo/flashcoders
