Hi,
Here's a test drawing everything as bitmap direct to stage with 0
movieclips.
background = drawing api direct to stage with bitmap fills.
everything else gets drawn in one rect, theres one interval that drives
everything via FOR
loop and array of characters. hitdetection on strawberries reveals a
second 3d pre rendered animation from cache
So far I gained a huge speed increase by not using movieclips. I can
shift levels of items being blitted by stopping and starting their
"copypixel" process. the whole thing also adjusts to stage
resizing..this is just a blitting test.
